Term 2 Week 1
This week I have mainly been designing my mold for my longboard and also getting used to the program solidworks. On Monday we had double DTM so P3 I was in the com lab making sure that I had finished all that was needed for my blog. My blog was fully up to date so I was ready to make my mold for my longboard. P4 I got a large piece of MDF and started to think of how I would create a mold for my already designed longboard. It was mentally hard to work out what the different skeletal parts of my mold would look like. On Wednesday I was in the com lab updating my calender and getting used to the program Solidworks. I am going to use this program to create a 3D design of my longboard. The program is very complicated so I only understand some of the basics. On Thursday I was in the com labs updating my calender and reflections. I also worked on my 3D longboard design. Next week I will work on my mold and will also learn more about the program Solidworks.

Term 1 Week 10
This week was mainly focused on completeing the new checklist and also making concepts for my longboard mould. On Monday I made more 15mm flax strips because my already made strips curled up as they dried. This then didn't cover the longbord length. This time I made lots of extra strips to make sure there was enough even if they curved. I also started making concepts for my longboard mould. I first had to figure out my longboard curves before designing my mould. I didn't find the drawing too hard. On Wednesday I finished my mould concepts and took photos of them to post on my blog. On Thursday I updated my blog by posting photos and updating reflections. This ends our 1st term.
Term 1 Week 9
On Monday I started cutting my second layers of strips for my longboard. Each strip was 15mm wide and roughly 300mm long. They were deliberately longer than needed just to be safe in case I made a mistake. I made enough strips to cover the length of my board. I then had two layers for my stringer which will cross over each other to make the board strong. On Wednesday we were in the com labs to update our blogs. On Thursday we were also in the com labs updating our blogs. I managed to updated my blog and completed the checklist. Next week I will probably post some more photos and will also start designing the mould for my longboard.
