Term 2 Week 4

Week 4 was a mix between practical and computer work. On Monday I spent the double period working on my longboard mould. I started cutting out the curves that I had previously drawn up on the mould pieces. I Finished sanding two parts to my mould. On Wednesday I was in the computer labs updating my blog by adding pictures and also updating my calender. On Thursday I was on the computer and practiced using the program solidworks. I found solidworks reletively easy to use but had to start my deisgn again which set me back slightly. Next Week I will probably work on my mould and will also keep updating my blog and calender.

Term 2 Week 3

So far this week I have done a mixture of practical and computer work. On Monday I spent both periods doing practical work. I worked on my longboard mould and cut out six pieces to size for my skeletal mould. I used a scroll saw to cut the MDF. I found it quite easy but time consuming as the small blade on the saw was slow cutting through my 18mm MDF. On Wednesday I was on the computer updating my calender and blog. I added a reflection post and also pictures of my mould progress. On Thursday I am hoping to be doing practical so I can sand down my mould pieces to create my desired curves for my longboard. Next week I will probably work on my mould and also update my blog.

Term 2 Week 2

This week has been a mixture of practical work and computer work. On Monday we had double period. On both periods I worked on my longboard mould. We are creating skeletal moulds which our boards will be clamped to. The skeletal design makes it hard to workout. My longboard has quite a simple design so it wasnt too hard to work out how the mould should be made. I separated a piece of MDF into six pieces for my mould. On Wednesday I was in the com labs updating my blog and learing about the program solidworks. On Thursday I updated my reflections for my blog and also my calender. I also chose my griptape which will be ordered from USA. Next week I will keep updating my blog and will probably do some practical work on my mould.
